Meet the Author

Dear readers,

I created Theo’s world to explore a simple idea: that the foundations of economic thinking is already part of everyday life. Children encounter them long before they learn the words for them.

These stories are not written to explain those ideas directly.

They are designed to be experienced first.

Each book works on two levels at once. Children follow what happens in a small, familiar moment. Adults may begin to recognize the deeper structure beneath it—an economic or philosophical question quietly unfolding.

My background is in chemical engineering and trading. Over time, I became interested in: how do the ideas begin? Not in markets or models, but in small human moments.

Theo the Philosopher Cat grew from that question.

At the end of each book, the “Let’s Think Together” page creates space for something just as important as the story itself: time. Time to pause, to ask, to listen. It is not a test or a lesson, but a shared moment between child and adult—where thinking happens out loud, and meaning is built together.
